Darkroom Photography is an Auckland-based service specialising in concert and live-event photography. I’ve photographed many of the world’s biggest musical acts, as well as countless up-and-coming New Zealand bands. Having shot concerts at nearly every venue in Auckland, I am equally at home working in the crowded city clubs as I am in the spacious photo pit at Vector Arena.
My goal when photographing people is always the same: to capture their expression at the moment that best conveys their personality and uniqueness.I don’t shoot ‘spray-and-prey’ style, hoping to get something that works – I take time to get sharp, beautiful and emotional shots.
Ultimately, I just want to make people look awesome.
